The Companion Leather Book Cover

This sweet little size is an inspiration that came from time spent with my mom. She requested that I make a size to fit a 3 x 5 notebook so that she can use it for grocery and to-do lists.  She asked if SHE could sew it!  And, an adventure began!  

My father recently passed away after a short but very difficult battle with cancer.  I have spent a lot of time with both him and Mom.  That's how life is...you think it can't get any busier, then someone you love needs you and you find the time...and are blessed while you are being a blessing.  As I have sat with them both at home and at many doctor's office visits, my hands have been flying and always in motion as I sew leather book covers.  My parents have taken an interest in my leather work, encouraging and checking in with my progress.  My mother has been watching and mentioned that she would like to learn, and the Companion was born.  

I am calling it the Companion in part because this little book can be YOUR companion as you shop.  It's small size and inexpensive book inside is perfect for lists of many kinds and can easily travel with you...even fitting inside your pocket!  But, it's name is also symbolic of the companionship that one desires and deserves with faced with a serious illness and my desire do just that for my parents and siblings.  

Each piece is already made and ready to ship the very next day.  Some will have elastic closure and some snaps.  They will be in constant production so check back often for more listings!
