"This is a gorgeous, full-grain, 100% vegetable tanned leather. The color is rich and saturated through and through with a water-resistant formula, and dry milled. It has all the softness and feel of a chrome tanned leather, with  integrity, strength, durability, and lasting properties. Water beads up and rolls off, even if it sits there for a little while. This leather will not spot up or leave water damage marks when it dries! All thanks to Hermann Oak’s dedication to providing the world with the best vegetable tanned leather on the planet!"

Thickness: 2 - 2.4 mm 
Tannage: Veg Tan

If you prefer a different color elastic, please add a note to your order. Elastic colors available: Brown, White, and Black.  Yellow will be chosen unless otherwise specified.  

Adding a snap is option instead of an elastic closure, and it has been done but the floppy nature of this leather is also applied to the snap...please consider this.  

Adding strings is NOT recommended with this leather. It is very floppy and will mold beautifully to your book.  It needs the structure of a book and works best as a book cover and not a traveler's notebook.  

One more thing...a front pocket option in this leather is not available at this time.
